Former lands Cabinet Minister Charity Ngilu is asking women to plunge into politics and vie for leadership positions rather than wait for affirmative action. Ngilu challenged women leaders to vie for presidency in the 2022 poll. She was speaking during a thanksgiving ceremony for principal secretary Ida Munano in Murang’a. Local leaders urged the former CS to join the yet to be launched jubilee party ahead of 2017 elections.
