Country experiences nationwide blackout after technical hitch at Olkaria station

The Kenya power and lighting company has announced that it has only restored electricity supply to North rift, western Kenya, South Nyanza, Mount Kenya and parts of central rift. KPLC technicians are struggling to restore power supply after a technical hitch at the Olkaria station triggered a nationwide blackout. The blackout has hit businesses quite hard around the country.
