Suspended High Court Judge Joseph Mutava is today took to take the stand to defend himself against claims of gross misconduct. The prosecution had already exhausted its witnesses against the judge and the suspended judge had to defend himself orally, provide written submissions and responding to cross examination. Mutava is accused of clearing businessman Kamlesh Pattni of charges in relation to the Goldenberg scandal, in which the country lost billions of shillings in dubious transactions.
