State announces 7th July a national holiday to mark Eid Ul Fitr celebrations

Muslims around the world have been celebrating Eid ul Fitr for the better part of the day, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadhan.
The festival ends weeks of fasting, and is one of the most important events in the Muslim calendar.
The start and the end of the festivities vary from country to country based on moon sightings, but people have been celebrating with feasts and family.
