Police in Meru have shot dead a suspected robber who has allegedly been terrorizing locals. A pistol and 5 rounds of munitions were recovered from the slain suspect. According to Imenti North DCIO Ngai Wekesa, the suspect was shot dead as he and three other gangsters were preparing to rob a shop at Gitimbine near Meru town. The police say the deceased was a well-known criminal who has participated in various robberies in the town.
