CORD protestors gathered outside IEBC offices to continue their planned protest

Another showdown looms between CORD supporters and anti-riot police who have cordoned off anniversary towers which houses the headquarters of the Independent Electoral Commission where the opposition intends to push on with protests to remove the commissioners from office police trucks have been parked along university way and around the anniversary towers closing all the entry points. CORD supporters have been gathering in their numbers outside the IEBC offices to continue their sustained campaign to remove the commissioners out of office. Earlier, CORD leaders vowed to defy all warnings by the government to carry on with their planned countrywide protests against the electoral commission bosses. Similar demonstrations have been reported in Kisumu. cord principals, Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetang’ula are expectaed to take part in the protests to occupy IEBC offices.
