IEBC ready to pack up and go if parliament petitions for its disbandment

We begin with mounting pressure on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to inspire confidence in its ability to carry out credible elections next year. A section of the religious community has weighed in on the matter adding to increasing dissenting voices from across the political divide. But the IEBC commissioners have in the past said they are ready to pack and go if parliament petitions for the disbandment of the present IEBC. The term of the present IEBC commissioners expires on November 9th next year. Here is what the commissioners said in strongly worded statements a fortnight ago.
