Kenyan Teacher looses out on 1 billion dollor prize

A Kenyan teacher who gives classes against violent extremism says he doesn't regret losing out on a one million dollar world's best teacher prize. Ayub Mohamud lost the Varkey foundation prize on Monday to Palestinian Hanan Al Hroub. Mohamud was nominated for his de-radicalization classes at a school identified as a recruiting ground for Islamic militants in suburb of Kenya’s capital, Nairobi. Our reporter Trix Ingado spoke to the teacher before the award where he expressed gratitude for the nomination.
