Christians across the world began the holy week today with Palm Sunday, which will be followed by Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter next Sunday. The holy week is the last week of the lent season, during which Christians commemorate the last few days of Jesus Christ on earth. Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem before his crucifixion and resurrection. Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus and his suffering, while Easter marks his resurrection.
