Kenya’s Silent Members of Parliament

In what a cross section of Kenyans term as shocking, it has emerged that at least 27 members of the national assembly and Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko never spoke in parliament for an entire year. According to a report released by Mzalendo Trust, a non-governmental organization which tracks the performance of law makers in parliament, the 27 MP’s never contributed to plenary sessions in 2015.
