Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet says the police is on high alert following realisation that proscribed criminal groups such as Mungiki and Sungu Sungu are being resuscitated ahead of 2017 general election. Meanwhile the police boss said that al shabaab threat is still alive and that the militants are targeting security installations.
