IGAD and EAC say the Ugandan polls met the minimal requirements for a free and fair election. The observers say voter turnout was high and poll counting appeared to be organized. They said they are observers and not a hearing mission. The African Union observers however said most polling stations were inaccessible to people with disabilities.
