Deputy president William Ruto is currently in Kericho on a three-day tour of the county in a move largely seen as a strategy to popularise the jubilee alliance candidate ahead of the senatorial by-election slated for early next month. The jubilee coalition is under intense pressure to clinch the seat after losing the Nyangores by-election to a candidate affiliated to rebel Bomet governor Isaac Ruto.
