There was excitement at the Karatina Ditsrict hospital when a mother gave birth to a set of triplets. However the mother, Tabitha Waruguru said as much as she ought to be excited about her three bundles of joy, the fear that she might not be able to care for them has overshadowed her joy. Waruguru says her three triplets have now been added to her other five children totalling the number of children that she has to feed to eight. When she got married to her husband,she found him with three children from his previous relationship then they bore two more together and now her triplets. Nurses at the hospital say it has not been easy for the mother as she was in denial once she learnt that she had been blessed with three babies. The nurse in charge says Waruguru has even suffered postpartum depression but she is undergoing counselling. She is a farmer in Karatina and her husband is a casual worker.
