ODM challenges President Uhuru to publicly censure DP William Ruto's remarks

The Orange Democratic Movement – ODM – has challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta to publicly censure remarks made by deputy president William Ruto during a visit to western Kenya last week that jubilee would use state machinery to retain power in the 2017 poll. ODM Chairman John Mbadi also wants the president to publicly distance his government from remarks made by Mombasa businessman Suleiman Shahbal that jubilee party will win the 2017 general election by force even if by buying or stealing votes. At the same time, the ODM party and has urged the independent electoral and boundaries commission to ensure the forthcoming countrywide voter registration exercise is conducted through electronic means.
