Over 100 passengers cheat death in road accident along Thika Road

More than 100 passengers escaped death when two buses from the same company were involved in an accident near Kenyatta University along Thika road. The passengers who were traveling from Nairobi to Thika sustained minor injuries. According to Austin Mungai a passenger who was in one of the vehicles the two buses were traveling on high speed and on reaching Kenyatta university their bus overtaken by another. This caused their driver to accelerate and after passing the gate of Kenyatta University a pickup which was ahead of them changed its lane forcing the bus driver who was ahead of them to apply emergency breaks. This prompted the two buses to hit one another before hitting pavement and overturning. They were taken to Ruiru district hospital where they were treated and discharged.
