NTSA issues warning to motorists contravening traffic rules during festive season
30th November, 2015
The director general of the national transport and safety authority Francis Meja has issued a warning to motorists contravening traffic rules. According to Meja, as the holiday season draws closer, his officers will be on high alert to ensure that traffic rules are upheld to avoid loss of life. He said that motorists who break rules including speed limits will be subjected to hefty fines. His statement comes a day after a fatal accident claimed ten lives in Murang’a County. Speaking on the el nino rains, Meja raised concern over the number of people who are risking crossing overflowing rivers and roads and urged them to wait till the roads are clear enough to travel.
