As Kenya prepares for the pope’s visit next week, some members of the Catholic Community in Homabay county have expressed hope he will address the subject of HIV/Aids and the use of condoms. According to UNAIDS, Kenya has the fourth largest hiv prevalence in the world with an estimated 1.5 million people living with the virus. The catholic church bans the use of contraceptives.
