North Horr MP Ganya Chachu and Marsabit senator Abubakar Godana have raised an alarm over floods which they say have killed over 3, 000 heads of cattle in the past three days in the county. The two legislators say the floods have rendered all major roads in the county impassable and left an unknown number of people dead. Among the most affected areas are Laisamis, North Horr and settlements within the expansive Chalbi desert which has been flooded. The two leaders say residents are in dire need of humanitarian aid
