This week, ktn ran an expose, the desert of death which outlined a mysterious epidemic that has killed at least 500 people in the county of Marsabit. Now two days ago, it emerged that the Kenya Medical Research Institute which had been tasked to research and report on what the epidemic was, had actually submitted a report on the same. But the ministry of health insists it has not seen any such report. The question that is still begging is; who will give Marsabit people, and indeed Kenyans the answers over the mystery epidemic? To explore the issues surrounding this matter we are joined this afternoon by Environmental and Health consultant Ken Kogei.
