There is a serious water crisis affecting the counties of Mombasa, Kwale and Kilifi counties that has resulted to public outcry and closedown of some institutions such as Pwani University in Kilifi. This is after the coast water board disconnected water supply demanding the counties pay the debts of hundreds of millions of shillings.
