The Nairobi Women's Hospital has denied claims that it denied admission to an accident victim who died after being in an ambulance for 18 hours awaiting intensive care unit treatment. The hospital's CEO Sam Thenya says the hospital did not have any space in it's ICU section at the time the late Alex Madaga was brought to the hospital. He says a doctor from the hospital examined him inside the ambulance and recommended ICU admission but their hands were tied as at the time there were three other patients in critical condition admitted at the hospital's ICU which only has three beds.
