In Kenya, President Uhuru Kenyatta has this morning addressed members of the East African Legislative Assembly. The president’s speech focused on the state of integration in the region. The legislators drawn from the five member countries have been meeting in Nairobi since the beginning of last week. During the period they have debated bills touching on regional transport and trade. The members are meeting amid concern over the lack of awareness in the region about the East African Community’s activities.
