Gender and equality commission to challenge appointments to state corporations over imbalance
7th October, 2015
The national gender and equality commission is considering going to court to challenge the recent appointments to state corporations citing that it did not adhere to the constitutional provisions on equality and inclusion. The vice chairperson Simon Ndubai has further noted that only 2 out of the 300 appointees are persons with disabilities which means that the group represents only 0.6 % of the appointments.
