8th September, 2015
Health services in Nyeri are still paralyzed as nurses remain adamant that they will not return to work till their grievances are addressed. Speaking to KTN news this morning, the chairman of the Kenya National Nurses Union Nyeri Chapter Anne Githiong’o said the county government officials are being elusive and as such negotiations between the two parties have been difficult. The nurses say key issues that they need addressed are promotions and improvement of working conditions. The chairlady says basic equipment like thermometers and functional syringes are lacking and this is hampering efficient service delivery.
