Stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry raise alarm over counterfeited drugs

Stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry have raised an alarm over the increasing number of counterfeited drugs in the Kenyan market. The group says that close to 40% of most pharmacitical and beauty product in the country are fake. According to peter barker from the UK based goodlife pharmacy, there is need to have an improved regulation in the industry if the vice is to be reduced. He says the counterfeits are harmful to the consumers and if not well regulated could lead to a crisis.
