East African leaders are due to meet in Dare salaam this morning, in a fresh bid to resolve the political crisis in Burundi. The meeting follows weeks of violence that have left at least 70 people dead and nearly 150,000 displaced. it is unclear if Burundi president Pierre Nkurunziza will attend the summit, which comes as he intensifies his campaign for a controversial third term bid.
