NEMA shifts the blame over the operations of the metal refinery after "plague for profit" aired

In a statement NEMA director general Prof. Geoffrey Wahungu says following complaints over the operations of the factory NEMA issued a closure order on the 3rd of October 2013. But Mombasa district public health officer John Ndungu gave NEMA an inspection report confirming that the factory had complied with all the conditions required and recommended that the factory be reopened.
