Operations disrupted at Kenya Ports Authority in Mombasa over promotion row

Operations at the Kenya ports authority in Mombasa were disrupted this morning as workers in the security department went on strike. The standoff lasted for about one hour making it difficult for motorists to get in and out of the facility. According to Simon Sang’ the secretary general dock workers union, the workers were lamenting on delayed letters of promotion that were supposed to have been issued last month to a section of the staff.
