Tragedy befell a family in Kamuyu village of Chaka, Nyeri when armed gangsters broke into the home and shot dead the head of the family, 46 year old business man John Mwangi alias planner. Mwangi met his death at midnight while his ten year old daughter watched helplessly. The distraught daughter said that four men stormed into the house just as they were about to retire to bed. The late Mwangi struggled with the suspects as the girl’s screams attracted the attention of neighbors. Relatives say that the family knows two of the attackers.
