County government of Nairobi launches clean up exercise

3rd February, 2015

The county government of Nairobi, ministry of environment has embarked on reclaiming riparian land and cleaning up the rivers. The exercise dubbed my clean city aims at regaining its lost glory. The project of rehabilitating the rivers in the county is expected to cost over 1 billion shillings. The drive will kick off with clean up exercise on the 27km of the Nairobi river, followed by Ngong River and others in the county. Local communities living along the river banks will be mobilized to participation in the project.
