A driver of a trailer narrowly escaped death when the trailer he was driving burst into flames. the driver was coming from the port of Mombasa en-route to Nairobi when the trailer he was driving developed a mechanical issue, after pulling to the side of the road the front of the trailer burst into flames, efforts to control the fire were fruitless. Residents helped the driver remove good worth millions of shillings from the container lamenting that the area lack a fire station and local authorities should ensure that fire fighters are easily available in such incidences.
