Herders in Meru escape leaving over a thousand cows grazing

Police in Tigania East, Meru County have launched investigations to enable the arrest of herders, who escaped leaving over 1,200 cattle grazing on food crops. According to Tigania East OCPD Charles Koskei, Area Police had received several complaints from farmers in parts of Tigania East and Tigania West. In these two areas, tracts of Farm Crops had been eaten up by cattle. The 1,200 animals that include cows, sheep, goats and donkeys have since been taken possession of by the Police.
