2nd January, 2015

Outgoing Inspector General David Kimaiyo has today handed over office to the acting inspector general of police who also doubles up as deputy inspector of police Samuel Arachi. Kimaiyo said that he did his best in discharging his duties as a police offer in the last 35 years but as the inspector general of police seeing police officers die has been one of his lowest moments adding that the challenges have since changed with the current ones being dealing with terrorism, cyber-crime and white collar crimes. As he leaves the service Kimaiyo believes he has laid a foundation in dealing with current challenges with various policies set to be launched. The acting inspector of police Samuel Arachi assured Kimayo that they will make sure that Kenya continues to be secure.
