Communications Authority of Kenya is switching from analogue with a few exemptions

31st December, 2014

The Communications Authority of Kenya will carry on with the switch off of analogue signal in Nairobi tonight just before midnight as it had earlier planned. The authority, backed up by the ministry of ICT and the office of the Attoney General states that the court order issued yesterday by the Supreme Court did not categorically state that the process of digital migration be stopped. They add that the court order only said that analogue broadcasting licenses for KTN, Citizen and NTV will not be cancelled until the case filed by the media owners association is heard on Monday, the 5th of January 2015.
