Egerton students go on srtike, vandalizing property worth millions of shillings

Business owners in Njoro town are counting losses after students of Egerton University vandalized property worth millions of shillings. The rioting Njoro campus students are said to have wrecked havoc after setting their university main business cantre on fire. Anti-riot police were called to intervene after the evening protest turned chaotic. The students are said to have been protesting the university’s tough stance on those with pending fee balances. The school reportedly announced that any student with fee arrears would not sit their end of year exams set to begin this monday.
