17th November, 2014
10 African countries have begun a push for more and better representation at the united nations security council. The African union committee of ten wants at least two slots in the UN security council permanent members states and more representation in the non permanent member states category. President uhuru kenyatta who opened a meeting of the committee of ten seeking a reform of the structure of the UN security council told off the assembly over what he termed as its exclusive and undemocratic nature and lackluster response to issues affecting the African continent.
