16th October, 2014
The fight against a poaching got a shot in the arm today after Interpol issued a red notice alert for the Kenyan Feisal Ali Mohamed. Feisal Ali Mohamed, 46, is wanted for dealing in wildlife trophies and has been a fugitive of the law since early June this year, when an arrest warrant was issued against him by the Kenya police. The warrant was issued in connection to the seizure of 228 tusks and 74 ivory pieces, together weighing over two tones at a motor vehicle warehouse in Mombasa. The Kenya wildlife service said at the time that this was the largest ivory seizure this year.
