Kenya loses nearly 2 billion shillings annually due to cyber fraud and other related cases; this is according to the Kenya Cyber Security report for 2014. A damning statistic that security experts say cannot go unnoticed. Cyber related fraud however persists despite government efforts to set up a cyber crimes unit in the police force. Fraudsters are unrelentless in their quest to take advantage of the publics seemingly low level of cyber security awareness.
