Agikuyu elders express their confidence and offer traditional prayers for the President

7th October, 2014

Agikuyu elders have expressed their confidence that president Uhuru Kenyatta’s case will end after he appears before the international criminal court (ICC)’s status conference tomorrow. The elders offered traditional prayers at Mukurwe wa Nyaganyanga in Murang’a for the president. Led by a senior elder Mwangi Thuita, the elders said the challenge facing the head of the state is a national problem; and urged all Kenyans to be united in prayer for him and his deputy William Ruto. They further faulted those discouraging leaders from accompanying the head of the state to the Hague.
