President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to travel to The Hague in the course of the week

5th October, 2014

The Center for Foreign Relations has termed the summons by the International Criminal Court for President Uhuru Kenyatta to appear before the court in person as an affront to the office of the Kenyan presidency. Addressing a press conference this morning members of the Center for Foreign Relations said the summons are disrespectful of African presidencies. President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to travel to The Hague this week for a status conference after the court dismissed his application to appear via video link on a rescheduled date. The ICC says the 8th of October status conference will question the president over claims that the Kenyan government is withholding crucial information requested by the prosecution team.
