The fire is said to have started at around 2.00 am last night, setting ablaze stalls such as a posho mill, spare parts shop, dairy shop, M-pesa shop, a boutique among other businesses. The residents expressed disappointment with the fire fighters response from the county as residents were forced to fight the huge fire on their own. The cause of the fire has not yet been established and now residents want the county government to avail fire engines close to the town to avoid such huge losses incase of fire tragedies.
