Baringo and Nakuru residents are set to benefit from Chemususu Dam Project

Over 600, 000 residents in parts of Baringo and Nakuru counties are set to benefit from the long awaited Chemususu dam water project. The 5.6 billion shillings project, which is now complete after a period of five years has been officially handed over to the national water and pipeline corporation by its contractors Frabo and co. Limited. Most of the residents of Baringo County have been relying on river and stream water that is insufficient. Chairman board of director’s national water and pipeline corporation Julius Kones says the government has set aside 400m shillings for water treatment works before it is distributed to households.
