Salgaa stretch along the Nakuru highway will be the construction of a dual carriageway from Nairobi

20th August, 2014

Ntsa director Francis Meja said the road designs are in progress and the government is still sourcing for funds through public-private partnership (PPP). Speaking during a fact finding along the notorious highway in Nakuru County, the NTSA director and traffic commandant Charlton Murithi blamed arrogance and lack of discipline among motorists for accidents along the highway. The highway has been synonymous with fatal accidents that has led to numerous deaths, the latest being seven people who burnt to death after a botched fuel siphoning from a petroleum tanker which had been involved in an accident at Kamara area.
