Nairobi Water and Sewerage company to introduce new cheaper tariffs
7th August, 2014
The Nairobi city water and sewerage company plans to review the water bill to ensure that water is available and affordable to all. According to the chairman Raphael Nzomo, the water company is now producing 550,000 cubic litres daily against a demand of 650,000 cubic litres daily. Nairobi city county deputy governor Jonathan Mueke says the last tarrif review was done over a decade ago and costs of production as well as demand for service delivery have since risen thus posing a challenge to the supply of water.
