Members of the media were locked out of the proceedings where it emerged that during the proceedings wamagana ward representative jesse kamuri was chosen as the majority leader to replace anthony kibuu. The kamuri led group claimed that he had the support of 19 out of 36 party members. The kibuu led group however claimed that they would not recognize kamuri as majority leader.
