The Nyambene Miraa traders association is now raising the alarm saying the fate of Miraa farmers and traders hangs in the balance as the United Kingdom debates the proposal to ban Miraa. The chairman of the association Kimathi Munturi says months after the government took up the matter, Miraa farmers remain in the dark over the outcome of various interventions. Further the association claims that after stakeholders came together to raise over fifty million shillings to file a suit in a London court, it is not clear what the funds were used for.
