Police raid shops along river road that have been producing and selling fake documents.

19th March, 2014

Police yesterday evening raided shops along river road in nairobi’s central business district that have been producing and selling fake documents. During the raid, 3 suspects were arrested after being found issuing fake documents that include, birth certificates, driving licences, psv licences, kenya national examination council certificates, passports and assorted rubber stamps. According to police, the information of the activities in various shops in that part of the cbd was relayed to them by members of the public who had earlier visited the shops. At the same time police blamed the public for buying fake documents saying this has seen the rise in illegal businesses in the city.
