Elderly persons are trooping to the city in numbers seeking to join the case that is seeking compensation from the British government for Kenyans who suffered in the struggle for independence. All roads lead to a local law firm that has been tasked with registering Kenyans interested in making their claims. Yet though many are encouraged by the victory of the Mau Mau fighters who won a settlement last year, lawyers warn that there are no guarantees.
