Police in Nakuru recover vandalized railway metal rod pieces worth half a million Kenya shillings

Police in Nakuru railways police station have recovered vandalized railway metal rod pieces worth half a million Kenya shillings. The 30 pieces of railway metal rods each measuring an average of eight feet was intercepted at Maji Mazuri area along Nakuru-Eldoret highway on Monday night. The railway rods were packed inside a Nissan Matatu. According to the inspector in charge of operations at the station, Jane Alengo the police was following a tip-off from the public. She says about twelve to fifteen suspects fled the police when they realized they were being tracked. The owner of the vehicle is currently being held at the station.
